Watan Investment Launches Operations in Saudi Market
According to the Capital Market Authority (CMA) Watan Investment & Securities is
authorized and licensed to launch all operations as of April 24, 2008 after
fulfilling all requirements to act as an agent for Securities trading. With this
step Watan Investment has the authority to launch all operations it is licensed
for; Securities, Asset Management, Corporate Finance, Research and Custody.
Watan Investment’s Chief Executive, Dr. Ihsan Bu-Hulaiga, stated that this final
step in the licensing process allows the Company to commence all operations in
all investment business lines licensed by the CMA.
Dr. Bu-Hulaiga continued by saying that Watan Investment will launch its
products and services for individual and corporate clients with innovative
products built on diverse channels, risk tolerance and long-term and short-term
objectives. The products and services are designed to take advantage of the
local Saudi economic environment which at the current moment is very high in
liquidity; according to the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency (SAMA) liquidity in
Saudi Arabia has reached SR 827.4 billion with a 26% increase compared to last
year.
The Chief Executive concluded by stating that Watan Investment will be focusing
on providing its services through a team of investment professionals that rely
mainly on experience, innovation and creativity in serving the Company’s
clients.
